Carlile and Bradlaugh's writing

Currently reading Joel H. Wiener, Radicalism and Freethought in Nineteenth-Century Britain: The Life of Richard Carlile (Westport, CT: Greenwood Press, 1983)

This is a very in-depth biography of Carlile, based on a close reading of Carlile's published work and papers. Excellent end-notes and bibliographical essay.

I've posted a bunch of Bradlaugh writings, including the National Reformer, on my site, at http://www.bradlaugh.com/CB_Writing/CB_Writing.html. I'll put up additional ones as I read them or use them in my story. In the meantime, here's the masthead of the very first NR, dated April 14 1860 (Note: the article on the French Revolution isn't by Bradlaugh. He co-edited the paper with Joseph Barker the first year. Barker did the first four pages, Bradlaugh the last four. This relationship didn't work out, and CB took over the paper completely after forcing Barker out.)
